Dindori Lok Sabha MP Bhaskar Bhagare met Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi to demand the restoration of closed trains and railway stops cancelled during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the development of the Vani, Lakhmapur-Nashik-Surat railway line.
MP Bhagare expressed that the establishment of the Shirdi-Nashik-Surat railway line would significantly improve connectivity between Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Thousands of devotees from Gujarat visit Shirdi and Saputara, and many businessmen, farmers, and traders rely on train services from Pune, Nashik, and Ahilyanagar to Surat and Ahmedabad. The proposed railway route would benefit devotees, tourists, farmers, workers, entrepreneurs, and professionals by improving business and transportation facilities.
Additionally, MP Bhagare highlighted that this railway project could boost development and employment in tribal talukas like Surgana, Dindori, and Kalwan. He also urged the Railway Minister to address the pending issues of closed train services on the Manmad-Mumbai route and stalled railway flyover and subway projects in his constituency.

"Met the Union Railway Minister regarding the Nashik-Shirdi-Surat railway line. Discussions were held regarding the benefits of this route to all parties, including devotees and tourists. The minister has assured us that we will definitely find a way in this regard soon," said Bhaskar Bhagare, MP, Dindori Lok Sabha Constituency.
