Customs Seize ₹10.5 Crore Worth Hydroponic Marijuana At Pune Airport, One Arrested | Sourced
Pune Customs at Pune International Airport intercepted a passenger arriving from Bangkok and seized 10.47 kilograms of narcotic drugs (hydroponic weed) worth ₹10.5 crores.
The accused passenger has been identified as Abhinay Amarnath Yadav.
According to the officials, Yadav had arrived in Pune on IndiGo flight 6E-1096 on July 24. Acting on suspicious behaviour, customs officials stopped him and conducted a thorough inspection.

Sunny Soni, Superintendent of Pune Customs (Airport), speaking to The Free Press Journal, said, “The seized narcotics are top-grade marijuana, which are valued at approximately ₹10.5 crore in the illegal market. The accused was arrested and produced before the magistrate, who remanded him to judicial custody. The matter is under investigation, and soon other involved people will be arrested. The background of the accused will be clear sooner; it is part of the investigation.”
The case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
