Virar Crime: Man Strangles Friend To Death After Drunken Altercation

Palghar, Maharashtra: A night of drinking between friends turned fatal in the Phool Pada area of Virar, resulting in the death of a 45-year-old man. Police have arrested the suspect, his 26-year-old friend, on charges of murder.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening when Santosh Parab, residing in Ramchandra Nagar, Ganesh Apartment, was drinking alcohol with his friend, Rekhram Kalluram Meena. An argument ensued between the two, leading to a violent confrontation. Meena allegedly strangled Parab to death.

Local residents alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and took custody of Parab's body. It was sent for a post-mortem examination. Rekhram Meena was subsequently arrested in connection with the murder.
