Ulhasnagar Crime: Father Arrested After Daughter Learns Of Abuse In School’s 'Good Touch-Bad Touch' Class

A 10-year-old schoolgirl in Ulhasnagar was allegedly sexually assaulted by her father after learning about "good touch and bad touch" during a school lecture. The father has been arrested after the girl reported the incident to her teacher.

According to police, the abuse had been occurring at home since last year, but the victim only recognized it as inappropriate after attending the school's awareness session. The parents, married for 15 years, had two daughters (aged 10 and 5). The mother had divorced the accused and remarried, while the father lived with the children.

During a police-led "Good Touch-Bad Touch" lecture at her private school, the girl realized her father's actions constituted "bad touch" and informed her class teacher. The teacher alerted the mother, who then filed an FIR at the Central Police Station.

The accused was arrested on Wednesday and remanded to police custody. A case has been registered under: Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and POCSO Act

Senior Inspector Shankar Awatade confirmed: "We acted swiftly on the complaint and are investigating further."
