Thane: A 71-year-old man allegedly died by suicide on Friday morning at an ongoing civil renovation site inside the premises of Tarangan Society in Kasarvadavali.
The deceased has been identified as Vidyasagar, a resident of the same housing complex. According to police officials, he is survived by his wife and a daughter, who currently resides in Melbourne, Australia.
The incident occurred within the residential compound, located near Pratap Sarnaik International School, where civil repair and renovation work was underway.
Upon being alerted, a team from the Kasarvadavali police station rushed to the spot, secured the area, and sent the body for procedural formalities. Officials have initiated preliminary inquiries and registered a case to ascertain the exact cause and circumstances leading to the extreme step.
