Thane News: NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad Receives Death Threat via WhatsApp; Shares Details Publicly

Thane: NCP (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) MLA Dr. Jitendra Awhad allegedly received a threatening message from an unknown person on Friday. The message, sent via WhatsApp, reportedly contained death threats and objectionable language.

Following the incident, a political storm erupted in Thane's political circles. Awhad shared the threat message on his X handle, even revealing the mobile number of the sender. He demanded that the Maharashtra Police take immediate action.

Rajkumar Waghchaure, Senior Police Inspector at Vartak Nagar police station, told FPJ that no FIR has been registered yet against the unknown sender.

Sources revealed that this is not the first time Awhad has received threats. Last year, he was allegedly threatened by a person claiming to be Rohit Godara—a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. In that call, the caller not only threatened to kill Awhad but also demanded a ransom of several lakh rupees.
