Ulka Dehadray, a resident of Thane, registered a first information report (FIR) against security guards of her society for harassing her. The case has been registered at Kapurbawdi police station, Thane.
Speaking with FPJ, Ulka Dehadray said, " On July 4, it was raining heavily and at around 9:30 pm I went outside to feed stray dogs in the society. When I was feeding them the security supervisor of my society Naveen Sharma was filming me. When I asked Sharma why he is filming me feeding stray dogs, he along with two other security guards ganged up and harassed me. They used words and gestures to insult the modesty of a woman. I am worried and scared."
Dehadray further added, "On June 25, my four friends who are veterinary doctors and I, at around 10:30 am were vaccinating stray dogs of the society and at that time, the security supervisor Archana Satpute and along with her, three women guards started harassing me. I am facing threats from security employees of the Imperial Security Forces and I fear going out in my own society. I don't know on whose order they are filming or following me but I would request the Kapurbawdi police station to register cases against security guards Naveen Sharma, Archana Satpute and also security company Imperial Security Forces."
Uttam Sonawane, senior police inspector, Kapurbawdi police station said, "We have registered a case against the security guards on July 6, under Indian Penal Code sections 509, 503, 506 and 34. We are investigating the case and we have not arrested anyone yet."
Manoj Vaidya, Chairman, Lodha Priva society said, "We are not dog haters but Dehadray tried to bring stray dogs inside our basement parking. The security guards asked her to not get the stray dogs inside, but she started arguing. She has registered a complaint against security guards because they follow orders and do not allow her to get the dogs in the parking lot."
