Thane Crime: Man Snatches Woman’s Purse In Kalwa Building; Arrested Within 24 Hours (VIDEO)

Thane: In a shocking incident from Kalwa, a man followed a woman into her residential building and forcibly snatched her purse before fleeing the scene. The theft occurred on Tuesday, and the Kalwa police managed to arrest the accused within 24 hours.

CCTV footage shared by Thane Police on X shows the woman walking up the stairs as the accused follows her, suddenly snatching her purse and escaping. The prompt action by the police led to the swift arrest of the suspect, bringing relief to the local community.

In another news story of crime from Ambernath, a disturbing incident was caught on CCTV in Ambernath, where a man brutally assaulted a 12-year-old boy inside a building lift. The video, which has since gone viral on social media, shows the man entering the lift, slapping the boy, and biting him on the hand. He also reportedly threatened to stab the child.

The incident occurred on July 4 around 5 PM at the Patel Xenon Housing Project in Palegaon, Ambernath. According to reports, the man was enraged because the boy allegedly did not stop the lift for him on the 14th floor.

The footage shows the boy trying to close the lift door when the man suddenly enters and attacks him. The victim, identified as Tyagi Panday, had left his house to attend classes and had taken the lift from the 14th floor.

The reports also indicate that the man continued to assault the child even after they exited the lift. He also struck the child in the lobby. Following the incident, the child's parents took him to the police station to file a report. As of now, there have been no updates regarding the arrest of the suspect.
