Thane Accident: 43-Year-Old Auto Rickshaw Driver Injured After Container Loses Control, Hits Vehicle On Patlipada Bridge; Traffic Disrupted For 40 Minutes
A 42-year-old auto rickshaw driver suffered injuries after being hit by a container while losing control of the vehicle in Thane on Tuesday. The incident took place on Patlipada bridge located on Ghodbunder Road in Thane on Tuesday afternoon. The injured has been identified as Dhurajkumar Mehta, 42, a driver by profession.

Thane: A 42-year-old auto rickshaw driver suffered injuries after being hit by a container while losing control of the vehicle in Thane on Tuesday. The incident took place on Patlipada bridge located on Ghodbunder Road in Thane on Tuesday afternoon. The injured has been identified as Dhurajkumar Mehta, 42, a driver by profession.
According to the regional disaster management cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation, the container was headed towards Ghodbunder Road via Patlipada bridge from Thane and lost control of the vehicle, which caused it to hit an auto rickshaw from behind. As a result, the driver suffered head and leg injuries and was admitted to the hospital, where he was discharged after receiving first aid. However, the auto rickshaw was partly damaged in the collision.

Yasin Tadvi, the chief of RDMC, said, "We received information about the incident. We rushed to the spot along with a hydra machine and removed both vehicles from the road. Due to the accident, traffic movement was disrupted for about 40 minutes, and later it was restored."
