Thane: 13 Women Rescued From Prostitution Racket In Kalyan, 4 Arrested Including Woman
The Mahatma Phule Police have rescued 13 women from a prostitution racket with the arrest of three women and one man in Kalyan. The police said that they received information that a prostitution racket was being operated from the premises of Kalyan railway station on December 9.

Thane: The Mahatma Phule Police have rescued 13 women from a prostitution racket with the arrest of three women and one man in Kalyan. The police said that they received information that a prostitution racket was being operated from the premises of Kalyan railway station on December 9. Four accused, including a woman, allegedly involved the women in the prostitution racket under the pretext of giving them money.
Dyananeshwar Sabale, senior police inspector from Mahatma Phule Police, said, "We formed a team after receiving information about it. We laid a trap and apprehended four individuals and rescued 13 women from the flesh trade."
A case was lodged against four individuals, including a woman, under sections 143(3) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and relevant sections 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act. The police said that the 13 women rescued have been sent to a correction room in Ulhasnagar for their safety. Further investigation is underway.
The police said that the residents of Kalyan had made several complaints regarding the flesh trade being operated in the premises of the railway station. They took cognizance of it. The police formed a team and kept vigilance over the flesh trade activities.
