A significant breakthrough has been achieved as the police successfully apprehended three individuals involved in a house robbery that turned fatal for a 70-year-old woman in Tardeo. The mastermind and his accomplices are now in custody, while the search for another accused continues.

On August 13, Madan Mohan Agarwal, a resident of Yusuf Manzil, Tardeo, fell victim to a heinous robbery. During the ordeal, his wife, Surekha Agarwal, tragically lost her life. The incident prompted a thorough investigation into the sequence of events.

Mastermind Revealed

As investigations progressed, it was revealed that Sumit Tatwal, a relative of the deceased woman and an employee in her shop, was the mastermind behind the crime. Tatwal shared intimate knowledge of the Agarwal household's wealth and vulnerabilities with his friend, Rajaram Meghwal, who then enlisted the help of Surendra Singh Jhala and an additional associate.

Calculated Execution

The trio arrived in Mumbai and meticulously planned their actions. They positioned themselves near Agarwal's residence and strategically intercepted him during his morning walk. Posing as individuals seeking someone named Saxena, they gained Agarwal's attention. Unable to enter the locked door, they confronted him the following day outside his house. Overpowering him, they forced their way in, holding Agarwal captive while they looted the house.

Escape and Tracing the Culprits

Following the crime, the perpetrators managed to escape and boarded a Pune-bound bus from Dadar. However, the diligent efforts of the police led to the tracing and eventual apprehension of Surendra Singh Jhala and Rajaram Meghwal in Jhalawar, Rajasthan. Local authorities played a crucial role in their capture.

Seized Assets and Legal Proceedings

The police successfully recovered 1800 grams of gold and diamonds from the arrested individuals. The accused were presented before the court and subsequently remanded to police custody until August 23. Further investigations unveiled that Tatwal was promised a portion of the stolen amount, while the remaining proceeds were to be divided among the other three culprits. Additional transactions and attempts to assess the stolen jewellery provided vital clues for the investigation.

This successful operation highlights the dedication of law enforcement in unravelling complex cases and bringing perpetrators to justice.
