Raigad Zilla Parishad And Panchayat Samiti Draft Delimitation Released; Public Feedback Invited By July 21
The Election Department released the draft structure under the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961 (Act No. 5 of 1962), based on an order issued by the Raigad District Collector.

The draft delimitation of constituencies for the upcoming general elections of the Raigad Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samitis has been officially announced. The Election Department released the draft structure under the Maharashtra Zilla Parishads and Panchayat Samitis Act, 1961 (Act No. 5 of 1962), based on an order issued by the Raigad District Collector. The notification was published in the Maharashtra Government Gazette on July 14.
Copies of the draft order have been displayed for public reference at the notice boards of the District Collector’s Office, the Zilla Parishad Office, and all Tehsildar and Panchayat Samiti offices across Raigad district. These include the offices in Panvel, Karjat, Khalapur, Sudhagad, Pen, Uran, Alibag, Murud, Roha, Tala, Mangaon, Mhasla, Shrivardhan, Mahad, and Poladpur.

According to officials, the state government or the authorized authority — District Collector Kishan Jawale — will consider the draft structure after July 14. Citizens who wish to raise objections or suggestions regarding the proposed delimitation can submit them in writing, along with valid reasons, to the respective Tehsildar offices by July 21.
"Any submissions received after this deadline will not be considered," a statement by Raigad administration said.
