Repeated Road Digging Near Kharghar Utsav Chowk |
Frustration is mounting among residents and commuters in Kharghar due to repeated roadwork near the signal and Utsav Chowk at Hiranandani. The same stretch has been dug up and repaired multiple times within a short span, causing major inconvenience and raising questions about civic planning and accountability.
Concerned citizen Jigar Dineshchandra Doshi has formally addressed a letter to Prashant Thakur, urging him to take immediate action. Doshi expressed concerns over what he described as poor coordination between departments and inefficient use of public funds. " the resurfaced road was dug up again shortly after repairs, disrupting traffic, endangering public safety, and affecting local businesses," said the citizen.
In his letter, Doshi questioned why such frequent repairs are being allowed without proper foresight or planning. He emphasized the need for a long-term solution that eliminates the need for recurring work on the same road segment. The situation, he added, reflects poorly on the city’s civic management and contributes to growing public dissatisfaction.
Citizens are now looking to MLA Prashant Thakur for swift intervention to restore order and ensure better infrastructure management. A decisive response, they believe, will help restore confidence in the local administration's ability to deliver on effective governance and sustainable urban development.
