Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has announced details regarding the implementation of ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0’ and has set up a dedicated help desk to assist beneficiaries in the registration process.
The initiative follows the Prime Minister’s announcement on September 17, 2024, regarding the launch of the scheme. In alignment with this, the Housing Department of the Government of Maharashtra issued a Government Resolution for the statewide execution of ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0’ under the concept of ‘Housing for All.’
The scheme includes four major components: Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC), which supports individual house construction; Affordable Housing in Partnership (AHP), which promotes housing development in collaboration with various entities; Affordable Rental Housing (ARH), which focuses on providing rental-based affordable housing solutions; and the Interest Subsidy Scheme (ISS), which offers financial aid through interest subsidies to eligible beneficiaries.
To facilitate the registration process, the central government has developed a Unified Web Portal at https://pmaymis.gov.in/PMAYMIS2_2024/PmayDefault.aspx. Interested applicants are required to register on this portal to avail themselves of the scheme benefits.
For registration, applicants must provide essential documents, including their Aadhaar Card and PAN Card, ensuring that the name, date of birth, and Aadhaar number match official records. Aadhaar Cards of other family members are also required.
Additionally, an income certificate issued by the Tehsildar for the current financial year, an Aadhaar-linked bank passbook, and a caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC applicants) must be submitted. Applicants under the Beneficiary Led Construction (BLC) category must also provide land ownership documents.
