Navi Mumbai News: NMMC Declares 501 Buildings Dangerous After Structural Survey

Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has declared a total of 501 buildings as dangerous within its jurisdiction for the year 2025–26, following a detailed structural survey conducted by relevant departments. The announcement was made via the civic body's official account on X (formerly Twitter) on June 18.

The buildings have been categorised based on their level of danger and the urgency of required repairs or evacuation. According to the data shared, 51 buildings have been classified under the ‘C-1’ category, which are considered extremely dangerous and uninhabitable and require immediate eviction.

Another 104 buildings fall under the ‘C-2A’ category, meaning they require vacating the building and structural repairs. Meanwhile, 297 buildings have been listed under the ‘C-2B’ category, which indicates that they require structural repairs but do not need to be vacated. The remaining 49 buildings are categorised under ‘C-3’, needing only minor repairs.
