As part of Environment Day 2025 celebrations, the Department of Dravyaguna at the School of Ayurveda, DY Patil University, Nerul, will host a free seed ball (earth ball) making workshop and plantation drive on campus. The event is being organized in collaboration with D-CAL and Farm Studio Pvt. Ltd., and aims to foster environmental awareness and promote sustainable practices.
The program will take place at the D.Y. Patil Herbal Garden/Yoga Hall from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and will feature a 90-minute hands-on workshop focused on seed ball preparation. These seed balls—made using clay, compost, and native seeds—are a simple yet powerful method of ecological restoration, especially in urban settings.
“This event will emphasize the significance of environmental stewardship through the planting of indigenous trees. The seedball making event is directed towards spreading the message about planting more trees,” said an official from the organizing team. Open exclusively to students and staff, the session is designed to educate and inspire the DY Patil community to actively participate in environmental restoration.
Carrying the slogan "No Plants, No Life – Know Green, Know Life," the initiative encourages individuals to take small but meaningful steps toward building a greener and more sustainable future.
