BJP leader and minister of ports Nitesh Rane has alleged that the recent violence in Nagpur was meticulously pre-planned and executed by anti-social elements. Rane raised serious concerns over the suspicious circumstances leading up to the incident and highlighted several anomalies that suggest a deliberate conspiracy.
According to Rane, the violence erupted in a common parking area where people from both communities typically park their vehicles. However, he pointed out that on the night of the incident, only individuals from one community had parked their vehicles, while the others were noticeably absent. "It’s shocking that only one community’s vehicles were present while others were missing. This raises serious questions about the planning behind the incident," Rane stated.
Rane also commented on the controversy surrounding the display of Aurangzeb’s photographs during the birth anniversary celebrations of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He questioned the apparent contradiction, saying, “Some people claim that Muslim soldiers were part of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army. If that is true, why are they praising Aurangzeb and displaying his photographs on Shivaji Maharaj’s birth anniversary in some part of the state? Why this double standard? Why do they insist on preserving Aurangzeb's tomb?”
Rane held Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi responsible for the violence. “Abu Azmi started this issue. We will not spare those who raise their hands on our police personnel. Strict action will be taken in this matter,” Rane told media persons.
