Mumbai: Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has been recognised as one of the world’s 10 favourite international airports of 2025. It has stood out as the only Indian airport to make to the list of world’s best awards list for the third consecutive year.
CSMIA Only Indian Airport Featured in Travel + Leisure’s Prestigious Global List
For the third consecutive year, Mumbai’s CSMIA was named among the top 10 airports in the world by New York-based travel magazine Travel + Leisure’s prestigious World’s Best Awards 2025. The award was conferred under the category of ‘readers’ 10 favourite international airports of 2025’.
Recognised for Hospitality, Digitisation, and Seamless Passenger Experience
With an impressive reader score of 84.23, the airport was lauded for its world-class hospitality, thoughtful amenities, vibrant retail as well as food and beverage offerings and immersive ambience.

Handles Over 55 Million Travellers Annually With Direct Connectivity to 120+ Destinations
CSMIA currently holds the distinction of being the world’s busiest single-runway airport and India’s second busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic. Featuring a unique cross-runway configuration, CSMIA manages close to 1,000 air traffic movements daily.
The airport offers passengers direct connectivity to approximately 54 international destinations and 67 domestic locations, served by around 51 international airlines and 7 domestic carriers. In the fiscal year 2024-25, the airport managed passenger traffic of around 55.12 million travellers.
