Mumbai Tragedy: 3-Year-Old Critically Injured After Being Run Over By Hyundai Santro In Kanjurmarg’s MMRDA Colony; Driver Booked
In a shocking incident in Mumbai, a three-year-old boy was seriously injured after being run over by a Hyundai Santro car on the evening of August 11 in the MMRDA Colony at Kanjurmarg West. The child, identified as Om Kanojia, sustained grievous injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Sion Hospital.

Mumbai: In a shocking incident in Mumbai, a three-year-old boy was seriously injured after being run over by a Hyundai Santro car on the evening of August 11 in the MMRDA Colony at Kanjurmarg West. The child, identified as Om Kanojia, sustained grievous injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Sion Hospital.
Driver Identified as Colony Resident
According to the police, Om lives with his family in Building K-12 of the colony. He was playing outside his building around 4:42 PM with another child when the incident occurred. The accused driver, Milind Ramakant Komnak, 30, a resident of the same colony, drove into the premises in his Hyundai Santro (MH01 AL 1478) and hit the boy, who was playing nearby.
Vehicle’s Front Wheel Crushed the Child
The vehicle's front wheel reportedly crushed the child, leaving him seriously injured. Local residents rushed to Om’s aid and pulled him out from beneath the vehicle.
Victim in ICU at Sion Hospital
He was immediately taken to Ankur Hospital for emergency treatment and was later shifted to Sion Hospital, where he remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under close medical supervision.
CCTV Captures the Accident
CCTV footage has captured the terrifying moment of the accident and is now part of the ongoing investigation. Om’s father, Ashok Kanojia,28, who works in Bajaj Finance’s recovery division, filed a complaint against Komnak at the Park Site police station.

Police have registered a case against Komnak under Sections 281, 125(a), and 125(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is underway.
