Mumbai Tragedy: 1 Dead, 1 Injured After Car Parking Lift Collapses At Borivali High-Rise; Police Probe Contractor Negligence
One person was killed and another seriously injured after a car parking lift collapsed into a 7-metre-deep pit at a residential high-rise in Borivali West. The deceased, 30-year-old Shubham Madanlal Dhuri, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Mumbai: One person was killed and another seriously injured after a car parking lift collapsed into a 7-metre-deep pit at a residential high-rise in Borivali West. The deceased, 30-year-old Shubham Madanlal Dhuri, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The injured, 45-year-old Sunjeet Yadav, sustained head injuries and is currently admitted to Shatabdi Hospital in Kandivali West. His condition is reported to be stable. A police officer said that the deceased was a worker of the parking lift company.
The incident occurred on Saturday at around 11:08 am at the 21-storey Om Prathamesh Tower located on Link Road, Borivali West. According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), two people were trapped under the collapsed lift platform and were rescued by firefighters.
Police and fire department officials are investigating the cause of the collapse. The MHB Police stated that a case will be registered against the contractor responsible for the parking lift.
