Mumbai: Brother-in-Law kills his eight month pregnant sister-in-law in Kurla

Kurla: In a horrifying incident reported from the Kurla area where a 22-year-old brother-in-law killed her eight-month pregnant sister-in-law by strangulating her at her residence in Kurla.

On Wednesday, April 27 a 20-year-old victim identified as Komal Sanjay Sonkar was found dead at her home and also the foetus in her womb too dead.

Ravindra Dagadu Howale, Senior Police Inspector, Kurla Police Station said, "The accused named Arjun Sonkar (22) is a brother-in-law of the victim and he was in a relationship with the victim. The victim was eight-month pregnant through a relationship and the victim's husband was not knowing about it at all. The accused booked a railway ticket to his native place on Thursday, April 28 for both the victim and his but the victim was not ready to go so in a fit of rage accused Arjun Sonkar strangulated and killed Komal Sonkar (20) on Wednesday, April 27."

Howale further added, " The accused was living with the victim and victim's husband Sanjay Sonkar in their house for last few months. We have lodged the case against the accused under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 302 ( murder) and 316 (causing the death of an unborn child by act amounting to culpable homicide). He is produced in the court today."
