Mumbai: The Mumbai Police organised a ‘Muddemal Return Program’ on Thursday, where valuables recovered from various criminal cases were returned to their rightful owners. The event was part of an initiative to restore stolen or lost property seized during investigations.

The total value of property returned during the event stood at a whopping Rs 6.63 crore on Saturday. Mumbai Police also shared photos from the event on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, highlighting their commitment to justice and public service.

During the programme, Zone 10 police stations returned a wide range of recovered items to their rightful owners. These included 1.9 kg of gold ornaments valued at Rs 1.68 crore, vehicles worth Rs 2.35 crore, cash amounting to Rs 1.50 crore, and electronic equipment valued at Rs 1.37 crore.

The total estimated value of the returned property stood at ₹6.63 crore, marking a significant effort by Mumbai Police to restore stolen or lost assets recovered during criminal investigations. In an X post shared by the Mumbai police, stated, "Returning With Responsibility On 11-04-25, a Muddemal Return Program was organised in Mumbai to collectively return recovered objects from various criminal cases."

They also added, "The items were returned to their rightful owners in the presence of the Jt. CP (L&O) Satya Narayan and the Addl. CP (West Region) Paramjit Singh Dahiya."
