Mumbai Police went on high alert on Monday evening after a bomb threat message was received on the official WhatsApp number of the city’s Traffic Control Room.

Details of the Threat Message

According to officials, the message was sent at 5:27 pm on August 4 from a mobile number and later forwarded to the main Police Control Room. The message read: “34 vehicles with human bombs; blasts will shake Mumbai. Lashkar-e-Zihadi. Stop it if you can. Firoz is my name. 14 Pakistani terrorists have entered. Blasts everywhere. I will blow up Mumbai with 400 kg of RDX. One crore people will die.”

Swift Police Action

A senior officer confirmed, “We are investigating the authenticity of the threat and tracking the sender. Citizens are urged to stay calm and cooperate with police by reporting any suspicious activities immediately.”

This latest threat follows a spate of recent phone calls and emails received by the Mumbai Police Control Room over the past few weeks, raising heightened security concerns during the festival season.
