Mumbai: In a citizen-centric initiative, Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti has introduced a weekly ‘Janata Darbar’ to directly listen to and address the grievances of Mumbai residents.
First Session Held on August 5 with Immediate Action
The first session of this public forum was held on August 5, 2025, during which Bharti personally heard several complaints and ensured on-the-spot redressal in many cases.
Walk-In Format, No Prior Appointment Needed
Mumbai Police, in an official announcement, clarified that no prior appointment or permission is needed to attend the Janata Darbar. Citizens can walk in freely every Tuesday and present their concerns directly to the Police Commissioner.
