Mumbai, Dec 11: One person died and two others were injured after a portion of a second-floor balcony collapsed in Masjid Bunder West on Thursday evening. The injured have been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Collapse Occurred Near Masjid Bunder Railway Station
According to information from the BMC’s Disaster Management Cell, the incident occurred at Kotak Bhavan on Narsee Natha Street, near Masjid Bunder Railway Station, around 9 pm.
The collapse impacted the owner of a tea stall located below the building, along with two customers who had stopped by for tea. All three sustained injuries in the incident.

Officials from the Mumbai Fire Brigade immediately rushed to the spot and rescued the victims. They were transported to JJ Hospital, where Mukesh Dendore (28), the owner of the tea stall, was declared dead. Shafiq Islam (40) and Shalikram Jaiswal (52) sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital.
