Mumbai News: Train Services Delayed On Western Line Due To Signal Glitch At Prabhadevi

A signal malfunction at Prabhadevi station disrupted several suburban train services on the Western Railway (WR) line on Thursday evening, causing delays and inconvenience for commuters.
According to railway sources, the issue was reported around 6:15 PM and was rectified by 6:40 PM. During the 25- minute disruption, train operations were carried out under manual caution at the affected point. A senior WR official confirmed that during this period, trains were halted at the affected point and were only allowed to proceed after receiving manual authority.
“Between 6:15 PM and 6:40 PM, trains were operated cautiously under manual supervision to ensure safety at that point,” the official said.
While WR stated that the problem was resolved within 30 minutes and that normal services resumed shortly thereafter, several passengers reported delays continuing well into the evening.
