Mumbai News: Short Circuit Sparks Fire In BEST Meter Box Near King's Circle Station, Officials On The Spot

Mumbai: A fire broke out in a red BEST meter box on the footpath outside Amrit Hotel and near the Tequila Bar building due to a short circuit. The sudden smoke created panic in the entire area.

The fire brigade and Sion police reached the spot immediately, while BEST officials are also arriving to take control of the situation.

It is noteworthy that during heavy rains, the King’s Circle area often gets waterlogged up to 4–5 feet, which further increases the risk of short circuits and fires.
