Mumbai: The Nirbhaya Squad of the Mumbai Police played a crucial role in rescuing a pregnant woman who was found bleeding and in severe labor pain inside an abandoned taxi on Saturday. The police team swiftly responded to the situation, arranged medical help, and ensured that she was safely transported to the hospital. The woman later delivered a healthy baby boy, and both mother and child are reported to be safe.
Around 12:54 PM, the South Control Room alerted the Shivdi police station's Nirbhaya Squad about a pregnant woman in distress near Chandni Chowk, Shivdi. Upon arrival, the squad found Masooma Shaikh in excruciating labor pain inside a locked taxi, bleeding heavily.

The team immediately contacted an ambulance and, with its assistance, rushed her to JJ Hospital for urgent medical care. The woman successfully gave birth to a baby boy, and both are in stable condition.
The Nirbhaya Squad completed all formalities and informed the woman’s family about her condition. The Mumbai Police praised the quick action of the Nirbhaya Squad, emphasizing their commitment to women’s safety and emergency response.
