Mumbai: As the Waqf Amendment Bill was tabled in Parliament on Wednesday, April 2, Muslims in Mumbai supported the bill. They distributed sweets, marking their support of the proposed changes. A video of people celebrating the introduction of the bill in the Lok Sabha.
The video is doing the rounds on social media. In the video, it can seen that Muslims gathered near a railway station to express their support to the bill.
Similar scenes surfaced from Madhya Pradesh's, Muslim women erupted with joy in Bhopal after the Waqf Amendment Bill was presented in the Parliament on Wednesday.
Hundreds of women gathered at Rahmat near Hathaikheda Dam to mark the occasion. They expressed their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, holding placards with messages like “We support the Waqf Amendment Bill,” “We support Modi Ji,” and “Thank you, Modi Ji.”
What Is The Waqf Amendment Bill?
The Waqf Bill has become a point of heated debate in the Indian Parliament today. Introduced in 2024, the bill seeks to amend the Waqf Act of 1995 to improve the management of Waqf properties.
