Mumbai: A 24-year-old civil engineer, Omkar Sankhe, died after allegedly falling from the 10th floor of an SRA project site in Malad West on July 7.
He was allegedly not provided safety gear and fell from an unstable iron walkway plank. His father filed a complaint against Shree Jee Builders and Developers, owner Nimesh Desai, his partners, and the site supervisor.
The Malad police registered a case under sections 106(1) and 290 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing death by negligence and unsafe construction practices.
