Man arrested for impersonating MHA staffer during Amit Shah’s Mumbai visit
Mumbai Police on Tuesday arrested Hemant Pawar, a 32-year old man, for moving suspiciously in the Malabar Hills area during union home minister Amit Shah's visit to Mumbai.
Hemant Pawar, a man who was arrested on Tuesday for moving suspiciously near the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister's bungalow during Home Minister Amit Shah's visit, is the Personal Assistant of an MP who belongs to Andhra Pradesh. "We took him into custody yesterday, and our investigation is ongoing."But the arrested person is the PA of the MP of Andhra Pradesh. "
Mumbai Police on Tuesday arrested Hemant Pawar, a 32-year old man, for moving suspiciously in the Malabar Hills area during union home minister Amit Shah's visit to Mumbai. One police officer who was monitoring Bandobast at Sahyadri guest house and outside the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister's houses found one man wearing a smart blazer who showed an identity card and claimed that he was an MHA official and was in town as part of Shah's visit.
Police had reprimanded him after seeing his identity card. Afterwards, DCP neelotpal sent him the photo of a person. Then the officer reprimanded Pawar, remembering that he had seen that person moving around suspiciously in another part of Malabar hill area. Later the man was detained on Monday Afternoon from Nana Chowk from south Mumbai.
Pawar has been charged with impersonating a public servant and wearing a garb with fraudulent intent under various sections of the IPC. The police have also informed central agencies that they will also question him soon. Pawar was produced before the Girgaon Magistrate court where the court sent him to police custody till September 12.
