Mumbai police detain man from Dahisar for making threat calls to Mukesh Ambani's family

Reliance Industries head Mukesh Ambani family is once again the target of threats. An unidentified caller has threatened to finish the richest Indian on the phones received at Reliance Foundation Hospital.

"A suspect has been detained from Dahisar for the making the threats calls on the board lines of Reliance Foundation Harkissandas Hospital. Investigations are in progress,” said Mumbai Police spokesperson.

“Security has been raised to high alert after the calls threat and Mumbai Police is taking the threat calls very seriously, “ added a top brass of the police.

The Mumbai police has launched an investigation into the threat calls and formed several teams with local police, crime branch and special branch officials.

The threat calls were made on Reliance Foundation's Harkishandas Hospital landline numbers in which Mukesh Ambani and his family were warned of dire consequences. The anonymous caller made repeated calls to the Reliance Foundation hospital. A total of three threat calls were recorded by the Reliance Foundation Hospital.

The local DB Marg Police station was alerted about the threats calls which immediately swung into action and increased security at the hospital and Antillia residence of the Ambani family. has started an investigation in this matter. “the police is verifying the threat calls. Preliminary investigation has revealed that the caller is the same and made three consecutive calls. Three teams of Mumbai Police have been formed to investigate this case,” said another senior police official supervising the threat at the industrialist family.

Mukesh Ambani was provided Z Plus security by the then Manmohan Singh government in 2013 after threats from pakistan based terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen. His wife Nita Ambani was accorded Y Plus security by the central government in 2016. The twins Akash and Isha along with the youngest son Anant are provided police security cover by the state government.

Mukesh Ambani was at his Antilia residence when the threat calls were recieved at Reliance Foundation Hospital.
