Mumbai Hit-And-Run: 70-Year-Old Man Killed By Speeding Car In Andheri
Police are reviewing CCTV footage. An FIR was registered on April 5 under sections 106(1) (causing death by negligence) and 281 (rash driving) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, along with relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

A 70-year-old man died after being hit by a speeding car while crossing Sagbagh Road in Andheri East on April 4. Sadanand Kundar, a resident of Kalyan West resident, had come to visit his daughter, Jyoti Salian, in Marol. Around 9.25am., while the two were walking to a nearby bank, Kundar, walking slightly ahead, was struck by a car near the 3M Car Care shop. He was thrown several feet into the air and fell to the road.
The driver stopped briefly, and after a crowd gathered, took Kundar and his daughter to Paramount Hospital, Sakinaka, where doctors declared him dead during treatment. The driver fled the hospital afterwards.
