Mumbai: Gateway Of India Transformed Into Cultural Hub As 'Jashn-e-Hindustan' Celebrates Unity And Heritage

The iconic Gateway of India transformed into a cultural hub this Republic Day as it hosted ‘Jashn-e-Hindustan,’ an evening dedicated to Urdu poetry, ghazals, and Sufi music. Organized by the Maharashtra Government's Minority Development Department in collaboration with the Maharashtra State Urdu Sahitya Academy, the event highlighted the nation's linguistic and artistic heritage.

The evening captivated attendees with poetry recitations by acclaimed poets such as Monika Singh, Shahid Latif, Siraj Solapuri, Dr. Kamar Surur Farooqui, and Naim Faraz. Their evocative verses deeply resonated with the audience. Adding to the enchantment, ghazal singer Siraj Ahmed Khan delivered melodious renditions, while Salman Ali’s soulful Sufi music struck an emotional chord.
