The case, initially registered as an accidental death, was reclassified as murder following a complaint by the victim’s brother, Anil Jadhav, a resident of Chairman Bungalow on Carmichael Road and a professional musician.
CCTV footage from the area proved critical in identifying the suspect. Gamdevi police scanned surveillance footage from nearby locations and spotted a man loitering in the area at the time of the crime.
