Mumbai: Fire Breaks Out In Kanjurmarg High-Rise; No Injuries Reported

A level-I fire broke out on Sunday morning at a residential high-rise in Kanjurmarg (East), prompting a swift response from the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB).
According to officials, the fire was reported at 11:40 AM at N G Royal Park Building, located near Gandhi Market on R Deshmukh Marg. The blaze was confined to the electric duct between the 16th and 18th floors of the 20-storey building.
The fire was officially declared a level-I emergency by 12:10 PM.
The MFB quickly mobilised resources to the scene, including three fire engines, one fire tender, two jumbo water tankers, a breathing apparatus van, a high-rise firefighting vehicle (HRFFV), a turntable ladder (TTL), a quick response vehicle (QRV), and three ambulances from the 108 emergency service.
By 12:22 PM, the situation was brought under control with no casualties or injuries reported.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. Residents were evacuated as a precaution, and the building’s fire safety systems played a key role in containing the blaze.
