Mumbai Crime: DRI Arrests Brazilian Woman For Smuggling Liquid Cocaine Worth ₹11 Crore Concealed In Inner Clothing At CSMIA
The officers of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) have arrested a Brazilian woman for allegedly smuggling cocaine in liquid form worth Rs 11 crore. Based on intelligence that a Brazilian national arriving at Mumbai airport might be carrying narcotics, officers of DRI Mumbai intercepted the passenger who had arrived from Sau Paulo.

Mumbai: The officers of Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) have arrested a Brazilian woman for allegedly smuggling cocaine in liquid form worth Rs 11 crore, agency officials informed on Thursday.
Based on intelligence that a Brazilian national arriving at Mumbai airport might be carrying narcotics, officers of DRI Mumbai intercepted the passenger who had arrived from Sau Paulo.
"On personal search of the passenger, seven pouches containing viscous liquid substance were found stitched in inner clothing. On testing with field test kit, the viscous liquid substance tested positive for cocaine," said a DRI official.

The passenger also accepted that she was carrying cocaine in these pouches. 1110 gm of cocaine in liquid form, valued at Rs 11.1 Crores in the illicit market was recovered. The recovered cocaine was seized under the NDPS Act and the passenger was arrested.
