Mumbai Coastal Road Accident: Taxi Rams Ola Ertiga Near Bandra, 3 Injured

Mumbai: A road accident was reported on May 4 around 1:12 PM on the northbound stretch of the Coastal Road near the Naman Jhanna building, in the direction of Bandra. A black-and-yellow taxi (MH 01 CV 3772) collided from behind with a grey Ertiga car registered with Ola/Uber (MH 03 EG 6012).
Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Katkar stated, “An accident was reported today on the northbound lane of the Coastal Road near Karuna Sindhu (Esha Ambani’s residence), prompting an emergency response from Worli police units.” At 1:12 PM, Worli Beat Marshal 3 received a call from the Main Control Room, followed by another alert at 1:16 PM to Worli Mobile 1 reporting a crash near the Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, requiring immediate police assistance.

As a result of the crash, the taxi driver and two passengers sustained injuries and were promptly transported to KEM Hospital with the help of the Coastal Road ambulance. The Ertiga vehicle suffered minor damage, and its driver remained at the scene. Both vehicles were brought to the Worli Police Station for further legal proceedings.
