Mira-Bhayandar: MBVV Police Arrest 2 Bangladeshi Women For Illegal Stay In Mira Road
In continuance with their action to weed out foreign immigrants who were staying in the twin-city without proper documents, the anti-human trafficking unit (AHTU) attached to the Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar (MBVV) police arrested two illegal Bangladeshi immigrants-both women from Mira Road.

Mira-Bhayandar: In continuance with their action to weed out foreign immigrants who were staying in the twin-city without proper documents, the anti-human trafficking unit (AHTU) attached to the Mira Bhayandar-Vasai Virar (MBVV) police arrested two illegal Bangladeshi immigrants-both women from Mira Road.
Acting on a tip-off, personnel Acting on a tip-off, AHTU personnel led by police inspector- Devidas Handore laid a trap and rounded up the suspects from the Shivar Garden area and Gokul Village in Mira Road on Monday.
When questioned, the women failed to produce any legitimate documents to validate their stay in India. Both were arrested and an offence under the relevant sections of the Foreigners Act, 1946 and Passport Act, 1950 was registered against them at the Mira Road police station.
Investigations were on to identify the people who facilitated their illegal intrusion into the country and the house owner/ employer for providing them shelter and employment. Notably, this is the seventh arrest of illegal immigrants in the past less than a week.
