Maharashtra News: Massive Cylinder Blast Rocks Vasai East’s Navghar Industrial Estate; No Casualties
According to initial reports, a cylinder explosion occurred inside Gala No. 114 on the first floor. The intensity of the explosion was so severe that grills and balcony structures were hurled onto the adjacent Manish Estate 2 building. Neighboring units, including Gala No. 113 and several others, also sustained significant damage.

Palghar: A massive explosion occurred on Thursday morning at Vasai East’s Navghar Industrial Estate, causing extensive property damage but, fortunately, no loss of life. The incident took place around 8:15 am.
The blast originated at Manish Industry, located in Unit No. 1 of the estate. According to initial reports, a cylinder explosion occurred inside Gala No. 114 on the first floor. The intensity of the explosion was so severe that grills and balcony structures were hurled onto the adjacent Manish Estate 2 building. Neighboring units, including Gala No. 113 and several others, also sustained significant damage.
Local residents promptly alerted the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation’s fire brigade. Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene and successfully rescued five individuals who were trapped inside the affected unit. One person is reported to have sustained minor injuries.

Shiv Sena branch head Ganesh Patkar, along with nearby unit owners, extended their assistance in bringing the situation under control. However, former municipal corporator Kiran Chendvankar cautioned that the building remains unsafe for entry. She stated that the balconies, slabs, and even the walls have been severely compromised and may collapse at any moment.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the exact cause of the explosion and assess the full extent of the structural damage.
