Former minister for health Dr Deepak Sawant has been awarded a doctoral degree by Shivaji University of Kolhapur for his thesis on the "Socio-political impact of Covid-19 pandemic on Maharashtra."
The thesis covered several issues including effect of the pandemic on the health infrastructure, education and trade. Dr Prakash Pawar was the guide.
