Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis Inaugurates 7 Flyovers, Declares State 'No.1' In Infrastructure Development

Maharashtra has now emerged as the top state in India for infrastructure development, with a significant number of projects being undertaken in the state, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said on Sunday.
He was speaking at the inauguration of seven new flyovers built by Maharail at various locations in the state. The event was held at Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh Agricultural College Sports Ground in Nagpur.
Fadnavis highlighted that Maharashtra’s infrastructure development is not just limited to flyovers but spans across metro projects, national highways, state roads, airport upgrades, and port development.
He also acknowledged the contribution of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in driving key infrastructure projects at both the central and state levels.
The CM noted that the state has made substantial progress under the leadership of the Centre and the Maharashtra government in implementing various development projects. He emphasised that the Maharail project has set a benchmark in the speed and quality of infrastructure construction. The state is also set to complete 200 more railway flyovers and underground routes in the coming years through the Maharail initiative.
Minister of Finance and Planning, Ashish Jaiswal, Legislative Council member Kripal Tumane, MLA Krishna Khopde, and other dignitaries were present at the event. Various leaders, including Minister of Marketing and Protocol, Jaykumar Rawal, and MLA Pratap Adsad, participated in the event through video conferencing.
