International Women’s Day 2025: Western Railway Celebrates With Inspiring Events Promoting Empowerment And Inclusivity
Western Railway has commenced the celebrations for International Women’s Day 2025 with a series of engaging and inspiring events aimed at honoring the contributions of women and fostering a spirit of inclusivity and empowerment at Headquarter as well as at all Divisions and Workshops of WR.

Mumbai: Western Railway has commenced the celebrations for International Women’s Day 2025 with a series of engaging and inspiring events aimed at honoring the contributions of women and fostering a spirit of inclusivity and empowerment at Headquarter as well as at all Divisions and Workshops of WR.
According to WR, the Women’s Day celebrations started over WR on 6th March, 2025 with an event titled "Dil Se" ('Straight from the Heart'), featuring poetry and storytelling sessions by women officers and staff. This was followed by karaoke music which was well received by the attendees. .
A Health Awareness session was also conducted by Dr. Jyothi Inba who motivated the women to take care of their health. The event was held at Western Railway Headquarters, Churchgate. The celebrations will continue on other days with Fun Fair featuring exciting games, DJ music, etc.
A Wellness Program promoting physical and mental well-being of women will be held on 8th March 2025. The session will be conducted by Kavita Bhadke alongwith Dr. Jancy Shekhar of Jagjivan Ram Hospital, Mumbai Central.
"The celebrations will culminate on 10th March, 2025, featuring a Cultural Program. Shri Ashok Kumar Misra, General Manager of WR will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Smt. Kshama Misra, President of Western Railway Women Welfare Organization will be the Guest of Honour." said an official.
