Ahead of the state’s official Independence Day celebrations, a rehearsal for the flag hoisting ceremony was conducted today at the Maharashtra Ministry.

Mumbai: Ahead of the state’s official Independence Day celebrations, a rehearsal for the flag hoisting ceremony was conducted today at the Maharashtra Ministry. The main event will take place on August 15, 2025, at 9:05 AM, with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis scheduled to hoist the national flag.
During the rehearsal, Sunil Sonar, Under Secretary of the Protocol Department, performed the flag hoisting in the presence of senior officials.
Senior Officials and Security Presence
The event was attended by Deputy Commissioner of Police Pravin Mundhe, Assistant Commissioner of Police for CM’s Security Milind Kurde, Srinivas Ghadge, and senior officials from the Ministry, Public Works Department, and police force.
The ceremonial parade featured contingents from the Mumbai Police, State Reserve Police Force, Madhya Pradesh Police Force, and mounted police units, ensuring a grand and disciplined rehearsal ahead of the national event.
