Mumbai: The grand immersion ceremony of Lalbaugcha Raja, Mumbai’s most famous Ganesh idol, concluded peacefully amid tight police security and massive public participation. Thousands of devotees thronged the streets to bid farewell to the beloved deity as the procession made its way along the traditional route before immersion. The ceremony concluded on Sunday night at 9:15 pm. Executive Director of Reliance Industries Limited, Anant Ambani, was also present during the event.

The event, which marks the culmination of the 10-day Ganesh festival, witnessed chants of “Ganpati Bappa Morya, Pudhchya Varshi Laukar Ya” echoing across the city. Police, civic officials, and volunteers worked together to ensure smooth crowd management and traffic control during the long procession that lasted several hours.

The immersion of Lalbaugcha Raja is considered one of the biggest religious and cultural events in Mumbai, drawing devotees not only from Maharashtra but also from across India and abroad.
