Mumbai: FIR Filed Against Powai Bistro Over Illegally Organising ‘Russian Night’ With Semi-Undressed Dancers

Mumbai: The Powai police have registered an FIR against Santosh Shetty, the owner of Kubec Bistro Bar in Powai, and Kiran Shetty, the bar's manager, for allegedly organising a Russian Night illegally. The event was held on July 12, and the case was registered on August 5.

According to the FIR, Kubec Bistro Bar is located opposite the main gate of IIT Bombay. On August 4, while the Anti-Corruption Squad was patrolling the Powai area, they received information that a Russian Night had been illegally organized at the bar on July 12.

The police also received videos of the event, which showed a few women dancing semi-nude. The Russian Night was held at 8pm. without permission from the concerned authorities. The case has been registered under Section 296 (obscene acts and songs) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
