Mumbai: The initial medical report of the 21-year-old engineering student involved in the fatal car-taxi collision on Saturday afternoon has come back negative, confirming that he was not under the influence of alcohol. The accident, which occurred near the Elphinstone Bridge AccidentBridge, resulted in the immediate death of two people.
About The Accident
The victims were identified as Shankraya Goliwada, the taxi driver, and Rekha Jamoria, a flower vendor from Chinchpokli. Following the incident, the police filed a case under Section 106(1) and Section 281 of the Bombay Nursing Home Registration Act, along with Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act.

The accused, Priyanshu Bandare, was detained for medical examination, and after confirming his involvement, he was issued a notice under Section 35(3) of the Indian Civil Defence Code.
Bandare was released after his statement was recorded at 11:15 PM on Saturday.
