Mumbai: As the world is celebrating April Fool's Day, the Western Railway (WR) has launched an awareness campaign aimed at Mumbai's suburban commuters. Using the April Fool theme, the railway has asked people not to be fooled by crossing tracks, hanging out of a moving train, throwing garbage on the tracks, or travelling without a ticket.

Taking to X, the Western Railway wrote, "Don't be a fool by crossing tracks to save time, Don't be a fool by hanging out of a moving train, Don't be a fool by turning the tracks into a bin, Don't be a fool by travelling without a ticket."

It further advised commuters to prioritise safety and cleanliness of tracks by choosing Foot Over Bridges and dustbins over dangerous shortcuts. "Skip the long ticket lines with the RailOne app, and always stay safely inside the coach while the train is in motion. Be Smart and Alert, your responsible choices keep the Mumbai Lifeline running strong for everyone! WR added.
