'Chahe Jo Ho Jaaye, Support To Bas Pakistan Ko Karenge': Bhiwandi Teen Arrested For Instagram Post After Pahalgam Attack

Bhiwandi police on Thursday arrested a youth for posting a controversial message and maintaining a status on his social media account in support of Pakistan. The police said that an 18-year-old boy had allegedly made an objectionable remark supporting Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack, which was posted on Instagram. The youth has been identified as Afsar Ali Azgar Ali Shaikh (18), a resident of Ghunghat Nagar in Bhiwandi.
According to the police, they received information about a man who had posted a status on Instagram in support of Pakistan. Upon verifying the information, they located him and checked his mobile phone. An FIR has been filed against him under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and he was arrested. The accused was produced in court on Thursday and remanded to police custody for further investigation.

Krishna Kharat, Police Inspector from Bhiwandi City Police Station, said, “We have received the complaint about a social media post and have registered a case against him. Police are checking all his social media accounts. We are also in the process of acquiring all the information related to the accused.”
