Centre Notifies High Court Judges' Transfers: Justice Nitin Sambre Moved To Delhi, Justices Suman Shyam & Shree Chandrashekhar Shifted To Bombay HC
The Central government on Monday notified the transfer of several High Court judges following recommendations made by the Supreme Court Collegium on May 26. While a senior Bombay High Court (HC) judge has been transferred to Delhi HC, two judges have been transferred to HC, one from Gauhati HC and Rajasthan HC respectively.

Mumbai: The Central government on Monday notified the transfer of several High Court judges following recommendations made by the Supreme Court Collegium on May 26. While a senior Bombay High Court (HC) judge has been transferred to Delhi HC, two judges have been transferred to HC, one from Gauhati HC and Rajasthan HC respectively.
Justice Nitin Sambre has been transferred from the Bombay HC to the Delhi HC. Born in Nagpur on December 19, 1967, he completed his law degree in 1992 and began his legal career under former Chief Justice of India, Sharad A. Bobde. He was elevated as a judge of the Bombay High Court on January 6, 2014.
Justice Suman Shyam has been transferred from the Gauhati HC to the Bombay HC. Enrolled as an advocate in 1996, he primarily practiced civil and constitutional law. He served as Standing Counsel for the Gauhati HC and various PSUs, and was made a permanent judge in January 2017.

Justice Shree Chandrashekhar, currently serving at the Rajasthan HC, has also been transferred to the Bombay HC. He practiced in Delhi for nearly two decades before being appointed as a judge of the Jharkhand HC in 2013. He later served as its acting Chief Justice and was transferred to Rajasthan in 2024.
After the transfers are effected, the strength of Bombay HC will be 66, as against the sanctioned of 94.
